Flowers
Welcome to my website about flowers. The gift of flowers is an expression of love.
I love giving the gift of flowers (and receiving of course!) Have you ever wondered what the meaning is of a flower?
Deciphering the Myriad Meanings of Flowers
A bouquet of sweet-smelling flowers may convey a special message. The type of flower and the colors have symbolism that the flower sender may want to express. For example, red roses may reflect passion or romantic love, while white blooms may symbolize a pure heart. White roses, on the other hand, may be conveying that the recipient is heavenly or heaven sent. Pink roses may signify happiness, while red mums may connote eternal love. Bet you didn’t know that yellow lily may express feelings of gay love. Yellow buds like tulips or roses may stand for friendship.
Of course, meanings may vary depending on the giver and the social circumstances. In any case, a gift of a bouquet of flowers can be a lovely gesture. Giving beautifully arranged flowers is also a perfect way to thank, congratulate, comfort, greet, or offer sympathy.
Because flowers are used in just about every face of life – from adorning the kitchen or dining table at home to wooing a girl, to expressing thanks, greeting a birthday celebrant, or trying to appease a distraught wife (to name a few instances when flowers are given as a gift). Certain flowers are ideal for particular occasions. Seasonal blooms like orchids or gerberas are great for wishing fast recovery to a person who’s confined and recuperating in the hospital.
A dozen roses boldly declares love for the recipient. Elegant floral arrangements like exotic looking orchids and beautiful lilies may
be great for occasions like graduations and birthdays. Carnations may reflect pride and beauty. Other flowers may signify meanings like devotion, beauty, and hope. When choosing your blossoms, take the time, then, to know what their underlying meanings are. You’d enjoy the process of selecting and giving flowers more if you knew what they stand for.
One other occasion where flowers play a key role is a wedding. Brides who want to express themselves through their bridal bouquet may work with the wedding planner to choose the best suited flowers. The bridal bouquet may come in traditional white, or autumn colors like purple, burgundy, and orange. A traditional bouquet may be roses with baby’s breath flowers. Tulips are also a popular option. Flowers will also add dramatic impact to your wedding reception table.
